Long-lead equipment arriving non-conforming

Transformers, turbines and switchgear have 40–80 week lead times; a FAT failure discovered at site is effectively unrecoverable. We witness FAT at the OEM works, verify routine and type test certificates against the datasheet, and confirm preservation and shipping condition before release.

Interface quality between civil, mechanical and electrical

Most rework on power projects sits at handover between disciplines — grouting tolerance, cable routing clashes, earthing continuity. We set discipline hold points at those interfaces so each trade signs off a verified state before the next starts.
