Oil & Gas

Upstream, midstream and downstream QA, welding and NDE oversight.

Sector overview

Quality assurance for oil & gas projects

Oil and gas quality failures surface late and cost the most: a weld rejected at hydrotest, a valve traced back to an unapproved foundry, a vessel that arrives without its U-1A form. We work upstream of those moments — witnessing at the fabricator, verifying material traceability at receipt, and closing NCRs before the package moves to the next hold point.

Where oil & gas quality typically fails

Weld quality across dispersed fabrication

Spool fabrication is split across shops with different WPS libraries and welder qualification records. We verify PQR/WPS coverage before production, audit welder continuity logs, and witness NDE at agreed frequency so radiography rejects don't stack up at the end of the run.

Material traceability and counterfeit risk

Flanges, fittings and valves move through distributors before they reach site. We check MTRs against heat numbers on the physical item, confirm PMI where the spec requires it, and reject undocumented substitutions at receipt rather than at commissioning.

Turnover packages that survive regulator review

Provincial and state authorities want a defensible record: pressure test charts, NDE reports, coating DFT logs and as-built redlines indexed to line numbers. We build the dossier as work proceeds instead of reconstructing it after mechanical completion.

What we deliver on oil & gas assignments

  • Project-specific ITPs with owner, contractor and third-party hold points
  • Vendor surveillance reports with photographic evidence per visit
  • Welding and NDE compliance registers by line and spool
  • Coating and insulation inspection records to AMPP practice
  • Mechanical completion and turnover dossiers indexed to the system boundary
