Jags Assurance Inc. ("Jags Assurance", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through jagsassurance.com, why we collect it, how we store it, and the rights you have under Canadian PIPEDA, U.S. state privacy laws, and comparable regulations.
1. What we collect
When you submit our contact or quote form we collect: your name, company, work email, optional phone number, service and industry of interest, and the project brief you write. We also log technical metadata (a truncated hash of your IP address and your browser user-agent) purely to detect spam and abuse.
2. Why we collect it
We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry, to prepare a proposal or scoping conversation, and to keep an internal record of the request. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing.
3. How it's stored and processed
Submissions are stored in our secure database (Supabase, hosted in North America) with row-level security enabled, and a notification is emailed to info@jagsassurance.com so a specialist can respond. Access is restricted to authorised Jags Assurance personnel.
4. Consent and communication
By ticking the consent box on our form you agree to be contacted by email or telephone about your enquiry. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying "unsubscribe" to any of our emails or by writing to info@jagsassurance.com. We do not send marketing SMS. Any future promotional email will carry sender identification and a working unsubscribe link honoured within 10 business days as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act.
5. Retention
We retain contact-form submissions for up to 24 months from the last interaction, then delete or anonymise them. Records tied to an active engagement are retained for the life of the engagement plus the period required by the applicable professional or contractual obligation.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. Email info@jagsassurance.com with the subject line "Privacy request" and we will respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies
This site uses only essential cookies required for the site to function. We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics that profile individual visitors.
