Gap Analysis
Clause-by-clause assessment against the target standard(s) with a prioritised remediation plan.
Independent ISO 9001 consultants who take you from clause-level gap analysis to a Stage 2 certification audit — so your certification body finds a mature system, not a rehearsal.
An ISO 9001 consultant assesses your management system against the standard, closes the gaps with usable documentation and process change, runs the internal audits and management review the standard requires, and prepares your team and evidence pack for the certification body's Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits.
This engagement is for companies pursuing first-time ISO 9001 certification, recertification, or a client pre-qualification deadline — typically EPCM contractors, fabricators, manufacturers and service providers with 20 to 500 staff. Scope runs from a clause-by-clause gap analysis through remediation, internal audit and mock Stage 2, to certification-body support, and most programmes complete in two to six months depending on current maturity. The same team also supports ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 27001 on a single integrated audit cycle. You keep the system — we make sure it holds up under audit.
This is delivered against ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 27001, supplemented by sector standards (AS9100, IATF 16949, API Q1/Q2) and certification-body-specific requirements — the standard is the floor, not the full scope.

ISO 9001 (Quality Management) is the foundation most Oil & Gas contractors and operators are asked to demonstrate. Depending on scope, ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) are also commonly required by clients and regulators, particularly for EPCM and field service contractors.
Timelines depend on how mature existing quality processes already are. A company with some documented procedures in place can often be audit-ready within a few months, while one starting from limited documentation may need longer to build out the required quality management system before certification audit.
Many operators and EPCM firms require ISO 9001 certification, or evidence of an equivalent quality management system, as part of vendor pre-qualification. Requirements vary by client and project scope, so it's worth checking the specific pre-qualification criteria for each bid.
Readiness work — building out your quality management system, documentation, and internal processes — happens before a certification body conducts the actual certification audit. Jags Assurance supports the readiness phase; the certification itself is issued by an accredited third-party certification body.
We assess your current quality processes against the relevant ISO standard, identify gaps, help build or refine the required documentation and procedures, and prepare your team for the certification audit through internal audits and staff training.
