Construction & Civil

Owner and contractor-side quality leadership on civil works.

Sector overview

Quality assurance for construction & civil projects

On civil work the quality record is the defence. Differing site conditions, weather delays and design changes all end up in claim territory, and the party with contemporaneous, clause-referenced inspection evidence is the one that holds its position. We provide owner-side or contractor-side quality leadership that produces that record as a by-product of doing the work properly.

Where construction & civil quality typically fails

Inspection coverage that keeps up with the schedule

Concrete pours and steel erection don't wait for an inspector. We set realistic hold and witness points, staff to the pour schedule, and use surveillance rather than blanket inspection where the risk profile allows it.

Subcontractor quality variability

Quality on a civil job is only as good as the weakest trade package. We pre-qualify subcontractor quality plans, run first-article inspections on repetitive work, and escalate systemic issues before they replicate across the site.

Deficiency close-out at substantial completion

Punch lists balloon when deficiencies are logged late. We run rolling deficiency close-out by area so the final list is short enough to be credible.

  • Daily inspection reports with clause references and photographic evidence
  • Concrete, soils and welding test result tracking against acceptance criteria
